Walk the campus.
Explore KAL University on foot: the quad, the Maple Hall dorms, Lantern Café and the Innovation Lab. The day moves on as you do, and the campus changes after dark.
A KalCode Game
In development · Coming soon
Build your future.
You have $200, a college dorm, and four years to build something extraordinary.
A single-player campus adventure and business game. Start in your dorm, walk a fictional campus, meet its people, and build a company one decision at a time.
Downloads
No build is available yet. Downloads appear here once a build passes testing on real PCs and Macs.
$9.99 once, or included with KalCode Pro, MAX and MAX 2X. Yours for life.
You arrive at KAL University with $200, a simple dorm room and no business. Explore the campus, find people and problems worth solving, and turn one idea into a company, one decision at a time.
Friends, mentors and rivals change your story. Every chapter is something you play, not a long cutscene.
Arrival
Two hundred dollars, a dorm desk, one new friend and one problem worth solving.
First sale
Find a customer, choose a price, launch on campus and learn from what happens.
Reputation
Marketing, rivals, word of mouth and the people around you start to matter.
Scaling
Hiring, operations and harder tradeoffs as the business grows.
Graduation
Several endings, each earned by your business, your choices and your relationships.
Keep building
Run the same company after graduation, with no forced restart.
Short goals, real places and decisions you can see the results of. Every image here is from the game as it runs today.
Explore KAL University on foot: the quad, the Maple Hall dorms, Lantern Café and the Innovation Lab. The day moves on as you do, and the campus changes after dark.
Conversations come with real choices. Classmates bring problems worth solving, and the friends, mentors and rivals you make shape where your story goes.
Start a tech company or a campus service. Set a price, plan a campaign and reinvest what you earn. When a campaign falls flat, the report shows why: targeting, price, quality or timing.
Optional · fictional · in-game only
Plan a product sprint with fictional in-game helpers, then launch it into the game's economy. It never runs real code, signs in to anything or touches your KalCode account, and you don't need to code to use it.
Captured from the development build. Work in progress: what you see will keep improving.
Planned for the full game and not in the development build yet. All of it is fictional: no real money, AI services or stocks.
Run your business from anywhere on campus.
A laptop that goes where you go: work from the café, the quad or the library instead of only your dorm desk.
Fictional AI tools, then your own AI company.
Use made-up AI tools to grow your business, and later found an AI company of your own, all inside the game.
A stock market and an IPO.
Take your company public on a fictional in-game exchange. No real money, no real stocks, nothing to invest.
Leave the dorm. Expand.
Move out and grow into new regions inspired by California, Florida and New York.
Private worlds with up to three friends.
An optional, invite-only world for four players in all: explore campus together and show off your companies. Solo play stays complete and offline.
Cofounders and real rivals.
Start a company with friends as cofounders, and compete with classmate founders whose results come from the same simulation as yours.
No build is available yet. Each download appears here once it has passed testing on real hardware.
Planned for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, with a signed installer. The download appears here once a build has passed testing on real Windows PCs.
Planned for Apple silicon Macs, signed and notarized by Apple. Intel Macs are listed only once one has been tested.
Linux is listed only after a build passes testing on real hardware.
$9.99 on its own, or included with a KalCode plan. Not on sale yet: purchase opens here, with its terms and refund policy, when a tested build is ready.
On its own
$9.99 USD, one time
The complete game, every chapter and every ending. No subscription, nothing to buy inside.

Straight answers about what KAL University is, and what it isn't.
Not yet. KAL University is in development and has no release date. Windows and macOS downloads will appear on this page when a build has passed testing on real Windows PCs and Macs.
Only to confirm you own it. You link the game to your KalCode account once, by entering a short code on kalcoded.com. After that the single-player game plays offline and your saves stay on your computer. It renews its license quietly when you're online and needs to reconnect at least once every 30 days; your saves are never touched.
No. There are no microtransactions, loot boxes, ads or in-game currency for sale. The money you earn in the game is fictional, can't be bought and can't be cashed out.
No. You can buy KAL University on its own for $9.99, once. It's also included with KalCode Pro, MAX and MAX 2X, monthly or yearly: your first successful payment makes it yours for life, even if you later cancel or change plans.
Pro, MAX and MAX 2X will each add a few cosmetic items and +$50 of starting cash for new games, so MAX 2X starts with $150 extra. Perks are claimed once per account and stay after you cancel. Every item can also be earned in the game, and every achievement is reachable with the standalone version.
Not yet. Optional private worlds for you and up to three friends are planned, along with starting companies as cofounders. Neither is in the development build. Solo play will always be the complete game and won't need an online session.
A fictional workstation inside the game, styled after KalCode. At your dorm desk you plan product sprints with in-game helpers. It doesn't run code, sign in to anything, use AI services or touch your files or your KalCode account. It's optional: a tech company is one of several ways to play.
No. Success never depends on coding. You can build a campus service instead of a tech product, and KalCode Sim only asks you to make decisions.
No. The planned stock market and IPO are fictional parts of the game. No real money, real shares or real trading is involved, and nothing in the game can be cashed out.
$9.99 (USD), once, with no subscription needed. It's also included with KalCode Pro, MAX and MAX 2X. It isn't on sale yet: purchase opens on this page, with its terms and refund policy, when a tested build is ready.
Windows and macOS are planned, starting with 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 and Apple silicon Macs. Linux is being considered and will only be listed once it has been tested on real hardware.
